Our strategy

Together, they are a leading cause of death in Canada - every 5 minutes, heart disease and stroke and related conditions take a life.

We are committed to helping improve the lives of people at risk for and living with heart disease and stroke. To do this, we concentrate our energy and resources on priorities that make achieving our mission, reality.

Our focus allows us to drive-life saving medical breakthrough, to innovate and to be a catalyst for change - bringing together people with lived experience, volunteers, donors, health professionals, systems leaders, leading organizations, and others to tackle the most pressing issues related to our conditions. It also helps ensure we continue to foster a collaborative, caring work culture that supports its employees, our most valuable resource.

  • Reduce the death rate from heart disease, stroke and vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) of people in Canada.
