Through these changes to course names we are ensuring that a nationally consistent convention exists, making our courses recognizable and standardized across Canada. The intention is to make it easier for students who move or travel for work and for organizations that look to Heart & Stroke to set standards for training requirements. One national, consistent set of unified course names benefits everyone!
We also took the opportunity to review network-wide activities and have decided, based on what the data was telling us, to drop some versions of the Heartsaver course. Combined the Heartsaver Adult & Infant and Heartsaver Adult & Child courses have represented just 3% of all Heartsaver course combinations taught over the past 2 years. Effective upon the launch of the new portal, these two Heartsaver combinations will no longer be available
