Tuna fish cakes

Step 1
Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Clean and dry all food preparation surfaces. -
Step 2
Scrub potatoes with a clean vegetable brush under cool running water. Gently rinse, green onion, fresh dill and lemon under cool running water before preparing the ingredients. -
Step 3
Place potatoes in small microwaveable bowl with 1/4 cup (50 mL) of water. Cover and microwave for about 5 minutes or until tender. Drain and let cool slightly. If you don’t have a microwave, place the potatoes in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender. -
Step 4
Mash potatoes and stir in tuna, green onions, capers, dill, lemon zest and hot pepper sauce. Divide mixture into 3 and shape into 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick patties. -
Step 5
In a nonstick skillet, heat oil and pan-fry patties for about 4 minutes, turning once until golden on both sides.
